Patricia Fleming was a writer and humanitarian. Her poem "Light and Salt" describes being a light in the world, being of service to those in need. The mission of the Patricia Fleming Foundation is to be a light. We do this by going to where there is darkness and helping those in need - refugees, displaced women and children, survivors of war and disaster, victims of violence. Here is the poem:

Let me be light and salt today,

Flavor the world in some small way,

Brighten the path in some small way,

Let me be light and salt today.

This is our mission.
